Anna is a composer, singer, voice actor, and unrepentant theatre kid living in NYC. Instead of using her multiple music and theatre writing degrees to become a fancy serious broadway playwright, she’s decided to use her storytelling skills to fulfill every tumblr girl’s dream: writing gayer episodes of Legend of Korra, through the help of a TTRPG system and some good friends! By day, Anna works as a music teacher, but by night, she writes musicals and video game soundtracks, produces indie theatre, and spends as much time as she can with her lovely wife and fellow MoB cast member, Jonaya
Born to a poor family in Ba Sing Se and orphaned at a young age, Sabi grew up in the world of the criminal underworld, learning to wield her pistols to make up for her lack of bending. Years later, working for an up-and-coming Triad in Republic City, she finds herself facing down death one night — and unlocks a latent talent for metal-bending in a desperate bid to survive. Marked for death and experiencing an existential crisis, Sabi must band together with two unlikely allies to help untangle the mess she’s managed to get herself (and, by extension, everyone else) into.

Jonaya is an unrepentant lesbian living in New York City with her wife Anna, her kids, and assorted cats. She works as a professional software engineer, part-time game developer and writer, and sometimes voice actress. Jonaya has enjoyed playing TTRPGs since she was in high school, and has played a variety of games of both the official and homebrewed sort. She met her fellow Moment of Balance cast members through the Homestuck fandom.
Hanako Seki is a Fire Nation ambassador to Republic City, acting on behalf of her politically ambitious mother to further her own interests in the United Republic. Hanako is a shrewd diplomat and has access to the resources her family provides her, and combines this with a willingness to employ “extra-legal” means to achieve her and her family’s goals.
Having spent years developing her craft in various home games, through fandom voice acting, and as an editing freelancer, Domi has been building towards an actual play release of her own for some time. Domi has enjoyed the drama of fantastical narratives for her entire life, and Avatar: The Last Airbender was one of her first obsessions as a child. Azula was, in fact, one of the first truly interesting and flawed women Domi was exposed to, and Hanako was a natural conclusion from the fascination with them that followed. She’s so excited to get this story into the world – hopefully with many more to follow.
Chong Jr. is one of the many children of the easygoing nomads Chong and his wife, Lily. He grew up traveling with his big happy family, playing songs on his dizi flute and recounting stories to any village their journeys brought them. Then one day, Chong Jr. received the ability to airbend. Believing in ‘following your bliss’, Chong Jr. left his family to study airbending under Tenzin in Republic City – until he decided to leave airbending school and live in the city as a street busker with his loyal cabbit, Zopa. Between his family’s wishes for his return, the dangerous adventures with his two new (haphazardly found) friends, and the begrudging demand for his airbender skills, Chong Jr. will be forced to decide if following his bliss is worth potentially hurting those closest to him.

Chrissy is a goofball creative living in the Hudson Valley. She works in book production during the day and is a writer by night. A Moment of Balance is Chrissy’s first time voice acting AND playing a TTRPG. She has known her cast members for several years and has been introduced to many of the fandoms she is now obsessed with through them. When Chrissy is not working you can find her writing or nerding out over video games.
