Blades in Paradise
Blades in Paradise
In a distant future, fossil fuels dried up and we never invested enough in energy technology to replace them. Society collapsed and much of modern technology was lost.
Today, our corporate overlords rebuilt society in their image. Geothermal plants built into mountains are the center of new cities. One such city is called Paradise, because it’s heaven on earth. Join our heroes, the Express Service Parcel Network as they smuggle contraband into, out of and around the city. What will they find beneath the surface of this supposed corporate utopia?

Paul
Paul’s day job is an accountant, which is probably why he’s the network’s Chief Financial Officer. He enjoys Magic: The Gathering, video games, and too many nerdy fandoms to count. He also co-manages the network’s Twitter/X and Bluesky Social Accounts.
Riley
Stirling is a scrappy, queer ESPN professional from Paradise. They are
an impulsive, hard of hearing scoundrel and tank who wants to smash the system with her bare hands. When not working or gaming, he can usually
be found in a local landfill.
Riley is a queer white-Latine on stolen Treaty Territory of the
Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation (in Canada). They are a
disabled, hard of hearing, autistic environmentalist, anarchist and
story witch. Riley first played Pathfinder in their early twenties and
is on a mission to play as many different games as possible. When not
gaming, they can usually be found in the woods. Ask nicely and they’ll
send you a copy of XP Free, the ttrpg they wrote, to help you and your
friends craft your own stories.

I am a stay at home wife/mom, dog and chicken mom, homesteader, grandma. My family and lifestyle are my life. This is my first AP podcast/game. But I have been a gamer for 20 plus years. I started with an online pbp rp game of star trek. But now I do everything and try to learn new systems all the time.
Jim
From the humblest of beginnings, Doctor Winston Theroux grew up in an orphanage in paradise after the mysterious disappearance of his parents when he was very young. It was there that he discovered his innate ability to communicate with spirits, which lead to him being ostracized by most of the other children. But, that also wound up being his passion in life as he ultimately pursued a certification from “The Board” and became a licensed Specrologist who practices during his off hours from his main job as an ESPN courier.
Jim is a perpetual performer. What began in his third grade performance of “The Elf Who Didn’t Believe in Christmas” continued through college and into Boston’s fringe theatre scene. Now he podcasts. No matter how long the hiatus, he always finds his way back to the public square. When not in character, Jim spends his time practicing law and playing with his two kids. .
Justin
Little is known about Maximillion Graves and even more so to Max himself. Easily the oldest, wisest, kindest and humble person on team ESPN, Max leads his team by example… at least according to Max. In his moments of lucidity, he has displayed a deadly shrewdness and possible agenda of his own lying just beneath the surface of ancient cultural references and his allergy to anchovies.
Justin Langston is a friend to all except Barry. He knows what he did. Playing RPGs and studying folklore from around the world to fill his excessively lonely days of hermitage, Justin listens to the intrusive thoughts and giggles as he tries to put them to shame with his regular thoughts.
