Bard Rock Cafe got it’s start when we acquired a unique supplement for 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons from the DMsguild – one that gave all of the players wild magic. We said to ourselves, “This could be miserable to play, but it would be amazing radio”. As it turned out, we were only half right – it is actually also a ton of fun to play!
And so Bard Rock Cafe was born – the Actual Play podcast where no one knows what will happen next, not even the Dungeon Master! Add in the strange disappearance of holy magic, a mystery surrounding an obelisk from the sky, and a Deck of Many Things, and we found a recipe for utter chaos!

Kenny
Kenny Myers is the current Dungeon Master for Bard Rock Café, meaning he plays the entire supporting cast. Once, in college, he and two other students overdosed three rats on cocaine. Following this devastating event, he spiraled into collaboratively writing with like-minded individuals over the internet. It was in this time of his life that he met his future wife, Leera, and then almost died of blood loss and dehydration in the hospital during finals week. He was still required to attend his history final against doctor’s recommendation. Kenny has since gotten his life together, and works at the psychiatric hospital as a counselor. He is currently going for his PhD, at which point he will attain his lifelong goal of keeping student loans in deferment for as long as possible while running out the clock on loan repayment programs. The intermittent reinforcement of dice-based collaborative storytelling keeps him out of the casinos. He is a loving father, husband, dog dad, and unhinged lunatic masquerading as a normal man.
Khadeja
Khadeja plays Rook, the half-elf rogue from Waterdeep’s Docks district with sticky fingers. Rook may not be the most social member of the group, and she may prefer to work alone, but she’s still a team player when she needs to be. When the party needs to acquire something rare or valuable, they can count on Rook to procure it for them.
When she isn’t podcasting, Khadeja heads Bard Rock Network’s Diversity and Inclusion efforts. She is also an up-and-coming voice actor who has also worked on the indie gaming scene. She also manages the network Tumblr account.
Paul
Paul plays Brock Song, the owner of the Bard Rock Cafe, a decidedly average tavern in the Docks District of Waterdeep that becomes more well-known throughout the city after an object from the sky comes crashing down through the ceiling. Brock himself is a Kalashtar noble who gave up his charmed life to pursue his dreams of being a bard and opened the cafe when he graduated from the Bard College so he’d always have a place to perform.
Paul’s day job is an accountant, which is probably why he’s the network’s Chief Financial Officer. He enjoys Magic: The Gathering, video games, and too many nerdy fandoms to count. He also co-manages the network’s Twitter/X and Bluesky Social Accounts.
Steph
Stephanie plays Epi, a mysterious Tiefling who claims to be a cleric of the Raven Queen, but near as the party can tell, is just a con artist who scams people out of diamonds he then hocks to Felix, the fence who operates out of the back of the Bard Rock Cafe. Epi has a mysterious, sapient book named Mortimer (Or Mort for short), who helps him master and control his magic powers.
Stephanie Myers is a member of the Bard Rock Cafe crew and podcast network. Steph identifies as nonbinary and uses she/they pronouns. They currently live in Texas, where they work as a marketing creative and videographer during the week. On the weekends, they play as the tiefling character Epi in the Bard Rock Cafe podcast, who’s name was definitely not taken from their cat’s. Steph occasionally contributes character art and logos to the cast, but mostly contributes a few laughs and a whole lot of “yes, and-“s to the team.

Steph’s hobbies include drawing, cooking, comic book writing (in theory more than practice), and wasting as much time playing video games as possible. They’re also learning to sew, to paint, and to 3D print. If you’re wondering why they post so few selfies, it’s because their camera roll is mostly photos of their orange tabby cat Abraham Delacey Giuseppe Casey Thomas O’Malley, O’Malley the Alley Cat, or Tom Tom for short.
Tyler
Tyler plays Roland Armbar, the Half-Orc barbarian of the group. A former gladiator, Armbar left behind his life in the arena to become a sellsword, before becoming best friends with Brock Song and taking on the role of hired muscle for the Bard Rock Cafe.
Tyler Lozzi is an engineer by day, but don’t let his master’s degree fool you- he is more than capable of playing lovable himbo characters like Roland Armbar on Bard Rock Cafe. He was even an extra in a beach episode of the Marvelous Mrs. Maizel! When he isn’t working or podcasting, Tyler also enjoys playing Magic: The Gathering and his Nintendo Switch.
Tensei
Tensei plays known liability Nadir Cossain Amber, a very old elf with a very big book. Nadir has traveled with numerous adventuring parties throughout the centuries, and recently joined up with the party to investigate the arrival of the strange obelisk in the Bard Rock Cafe basement.
Tensei is a producer and technical consultant for streaming and podcasting. With a decade of production experience across a wide variety of podcasts, YouTube, and Twitch, they work to make sure every project they touch is the best it can be. When they aren’t working on their own projects, he is the biggest fan of yours.
A child at heart, Tensei takes most of his inspiration from a variety of “children’s” media such as Power Rangers, Ben 10, and Digimon. He loves to let everyone get their moments to shine.
